Schafik Jorge Hándal, líder histórico del hermano Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional, tendrá un nuevo monumento que recuerde su memoria en la capital de El Salvador.
El histórico líder del FMLN será recordado en la capital de El SalvadorSchafik Jorge Hándal, líder histórico del hermano Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional (FMLN), tendrá un nuevo monumento que recuerde su memoria en la capital de El Salvador.
La obra será inaugurada el próximo día 24 y forma parte de los homenajes populares a Hándal al cumplirse el quinto aniversario de su fallecimiento, anunció el Coordinador de Comunicaciones del Partido, Walter Raudales.
El Memorial estará compuesto por tres estructuras de concreto, la mayor de las cuales medirá 11.5 metros de altura, por 2.80 de ancho, en la cúspide de la estructura habrá una estrella roja, compuesta por cinco más que representan la unidad y fortaleza del partido.
Los homenajes a Hándal comenzarán la tarde del sábado venidero con una Tribuna de Rendición de Cuentas del FMLN en su honor en el centro de la capital.
Al finalizar el acto, se realizará una marcha hacia el cementerio Los Ilustres, a cuya entrada está el mausoleo y tumba de Hándal, donde será realizada una vigilia. La mañana del domingo se hará una guardia de honor y colocación de ofrendas florales en el lugar y en horas de la tarde está programada la inauguración del monumento.
