Desde ayer, una de las entradas principales de los diputados fue cerrada para dar paso a la construcción de un nuevo ascensor en el primer órgano del Estado. Se trata de un elevador panorámico, con capacidad para "unas 18 ó 20 personas", según confirmó el presidente de la Asamblea, Ciro Cruz Zepeda.
Zepeda, además secretario general del PCN, dijo que la empresa contratada para la construcción montó su bodega desde hace días en el Palacio Legislativo. El nuevo ascensor estará ubicado a un extremo del parqueo donde los miembros de la Junta Directiva estacionan sus vehículos.
El elevador tendrá un costo aproximado de 300 mil dólares, dijo el presidente legislativo.
Diputados de varias fracciones legislativas vieron con buenos ojos que se instale un nuevo ascensor, ya que los dos que funcionan en el Congreso están perdiendo la capacidad para trasladar a los visitantes del órgano Legislativo, según dijeron.
Se espera que la obra esté terminada antes de que termine sus funciones la legislatura actual. El proyecto se lleva a cabo con fondos propios de la Asamblea.
