El partido Gran Alianza por la Unidad Nacional, GANA, presentó al ex alcalde arenero de Lolotique, René Colombo Carballo, como su candidato a a alcaldía de dicho municipio.
La presentación oficial la realizó el alcalde de San Miguel, Wil Salgado que vistió por primera vez el chaleco naranja.
Actualmente la alcaldía de Lolotique es gobernada por el PDC.
Durante la presentación de Carballo estuvo el diputado Javier Reyes, que tambiñen fue juramentado como Director Departamental de GANA.
"Quieren que regresen las buenas obras a Lolotique?", preguntó Salgado a los presentes en el acto, "Sí", clamaron todos. "Entonces les pido que lo apoyemos", agregó. Al mismo tiempo que un concejal de Moncagua, municipio vecino, se sumaba a GANA.
Salgado y Reyes dijeron que este es el banderillazo de salida de presentación de aspirantes a alcaldes en distintos municipios migueleños y del oriente.
También el Presidente del Directorio Nacional de GANA, Andrés Rovira, calificó como histórico el momento ya que por primera vez Will Salgado se presentaba en un evento público vestido con el chaleco de GANA.Rovira confirmó que próximamente será oficializada la incorporación de tres Diputados de Líderes por el Cambio: Sandra Salgado, Juan Carlos Mendoza y Miguel Ahues, quienes han decidido ser parte de GANA y aumentar el Grupo Parlamentario a 16 diputados.
