Con la quema de llantas y el cierre de un tramo de la calle Arce, los vendedores denunciaron que en menos de 24 horas la Alcaldía de San Salvador efectuará el desalojo de sus puestos.
El dirigente de los vendedores, Martín Montoya, lamentó que la comuna no estableció una mesa de negociación con el sector, para buscar una solución al ordenamiento de la Calle Arce.
“Solo llaman a los vendedores y los hacen firmar asistencia, y luego eso lo ocupan para decir que ya aceptaron alternativas que no son rentables”, señaló.
Montoya reiteró que la propuesta del sector es que la municipalidad coloque módulos sobre la calle Arce y con ello contribuir al ordenamiento de la vía.
Sin embargo, la comuna insiste en trasladarlos a un predio ubicado sobre la alameda Roossevelt a un costado del parque Cuscatlán, alternativa no es aceptada por los comerciantes informales.
El dirigente de los vendedores señaló que la alcaldía tiene programado para esta noche o la mañana de este sábado, proceder al desalojo.
Las zonas a intervenir, según Montoya, son la calle Arce, Rubén Dario, Avenida España y 3ra. Calle, y ante esto afirma “sólo nos queda denunciar y defendernos”.
Asimismo, la vendedora Laura Chicas dijo que por las amenazas de desalojo dormirán en sus
puestos para defender su lugar de trabajo.
“El alcalde ha dicho que el proyecto en la calle Arce iniciará pronto, por esa razón nosotros estamos aquí porque no hay diálogo”, añadió.
Con la protesta, algunos comercios ubicados sobre esta calle cerraron a causa de la quema de llantas. Al lugar se hicieron presentes policías de la delegación centro para brindar seguridad en la zona.
